About Our Journey

Ballinderry Park, a small Georgian house dating back to c.1740, sits in the plains of East Galway like a Palladian dollhouse. Originally belonging to Kilconnell Friary, it passed through various hands before being leased to the Comyn family, who farmed the land and were closely tied to horses and hunting. After the family left in 1945, the house became derelict. George and Susie Gossip purchased Ballinderry in 2000 and carefully restored it, blending 18th-century charm with their personal collection of furniture and art, much of it from Susie’s ancestral Dillon family. The house is now surrounded by impressive specimen trees, including a rare London plane.

In 2024 Rowan and Laoise purchased the property with a vision to breathe new life into Ballinderry Park.
